So how do you set up an Instagram account for your business/company?
Step One - Visit, https://www.instagram.com. From there you can choose to log in/sign up with your Facebook account or Sign Up With Phone or Email. For business purposes, it is recommended you select the second option. Unless your personal name and identity plays an important role in your business.
Step Two - After continuing to sign up with your phone or email, you will be asked to select between the phone and email option in order to create your business account. Choosing between the two, you then need to fill out your phone number or email address.
Step Three - The next step is filling in your services or products that you provide. Example, ‘Roofing Contractor’ or ‘Plumbing Services’ or ‘T.V. Rentals’. Then add a password that you’ll remember for the future.
Step Four - Once you have chosen your name and password, you will then have to select a username. Creating a username isn’t hard. We recommend you choose your business name as the username. Once completed, hit ‘Next’.
Step Five - Once you have pressed the ‘next’ button, you will be asked to connect your Facebook account; that is optional.
Step Six - Upload a business photo/logo and continue.
Step Seven - The next thing you’ll be asked to do is follow a few users. We recommend you follow other companies or business that you work with or you can skip entirely. It is optional.
Step Eight - It is recommended that you accept the push notifications, that way you can stay updated on comments, likes and follows via phone. Once you have done that, you will be lead to your new account. This account is not completely optimized. Follow the last few steps in order to fully optimize your business instagram account
Step Nine - Click, ‘Edit Profile’. You will notice two black areas asking for your website and Bio. Grabbing your exact business website address, fill in the first black space. In the Bio section, add a short description about your business and a short message to the people visiting your profile.
Step Ten - Connecting your Instagram account with your Facebook. Here is how you do it -
If you set your account up using a computer or laptop, you must now switch to a touchscreen phone or tablet in order to turn your Instagram account into a business account.
Once you’re on your phone/iPad press on your profile at the bottom right of the screen. From there, touch the settings icon at the top right of the screen. Scroll down until you see the ‘Account’ section. Once you have arrived at the account section, continue scrolling to the bottom of the accounts category and press ‘Switch to Business Profile’ (Second from the bottom). Press continue and connect to your Facebook account.
After you connect to your Facebook account select the Facebook page that Is the same company name as your Instagram account. Then Set up your business profile by entering the following, business email, business phone number and business location. Your account is now set up, you can now follow other users with related business content and make some posts.
